Latisha Smith- Bartlesville, OK
As Christ has called us to be set apart for Him, Latisha Smith of the Bartlesville, Oklahoma Corps is doing just that. Since her salvation experience as a first grader, her journey with the Lord has been steadily growing. Latisha was invited to The Salvation Army about a year ago and has been actively involved in a variety of weekly ministries including: Broken Bread (Outreach feeding program led by the Youth), Community Care, and Lighthouse meals (Social Service Kitchen). Latisha’s heart to seek Christ with all she is, is evident in her daily devotion and approach to be a holy disciple of Christ. On a recent visit to her Corps, Captain Bobby and Lt. Nicole Parker witnessed Latisha reaching out to a fellow friend who had not been to the Corps in a few weeks by stopping by their house on her way to the Corps that morning to pray and share scripture. Latisha lives each day seeking after the Father’s heart as she sits at Jesus’ feet and allows her time with the Heavenly Father to penetrate her heart so that she can be a witness for Him at school, work, home, and the Corps. The Arkansas Oklahoma Division is incredibly proud of Latisha!
